Electrik Dave got his start in the 90s playing drums in punk bands, jazz ensembles and classical orchestras, everywhere from CBGB to Carnegie Hall, then spent the 2000s producing and co-writing for a roster of rock, pop and R&B artists and touring with rock bands. Since then he's released a vast catalog of his own music and developed his signature sound, Electronic Dance Funk. These days he works out of The Beatcave, his private recording studio in New York, finishing a few albums, playing with his bands, and generally keeping it funky.

Music arrives in his head finished, like he's got his own radio station, and he can hear the missing pieces of unfinished work. Play him the faint beginning of an idea and he'll play you the rest of it. You know when you have a recording that feels great but doesn't sound right? He can make it sound right.

He's all up in every genre. He writes, produces, performs, arranges and mixes, and he is an absolutely bonkers record doctor. A lot of people can sing all the words and notes. When he's in the studio, the words sound the way they're supposed to feel, and the singer's own voice shines through.
